I’ve always been a writer at heart. In 2020, during COVID, I turned to blogging as a spiritual discipline—a way to process what was happening inside me each day and to pay attention to the movement of God in my life. Writing helped me notice my thoughts, emotions, actions, and posture toward the world, and reflect on how my life did or didn’t mirror God to those around me. At the time, I was in the middle of my undergraduate work, with three boys who were then 11, 10, and 7. Blogging became both an outlet for the questions stirred up in my theology classes and a way to practice noticing God in the ordinary.
